Coach Sullivan just finished his seventh season as a Pirate this year. He has led the Pirates to 6 consecutive playoff appearances. He represented Boaz twice as assistant coach in Alabama North-South All-Star Game, 2019 and 2022. He spent the previous two seasons at Pelham, where he served as assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Prior to Pelham, he was offensive line coach and defensive coordinator at Jackson from 2011-14. He helped the Aggies compile a 47-6 record during his tenure there, including going 15-0 and winning the Class 4A state championship in 2011. Sullivan was head coach and athletic director at Class 5A Citronelle in Mobile County during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He was an assistant coach at Demopolis during the 2008 season, helping the Tigers advance to the quarterfinals of the Class 5A state playoffs. Sullivan started at Leroy High School before playing college football at Jacksonville State from 1998-2001. He was selected a two-time All-American on the offensive line. Following his playing career, Sullivan spent six years on the JSU coaching staff. During his time on the JSU staff, the Gamecocks won two Ohio Valley Conference championships. Sullivan and his wife, Erika, have a 17-year-old son, Ty, and a 15-year-old daughter, Aly.
