Al Gilmore:  OC/OL  Elba HS, AL

Coach Al Gilmore just finished his 6th season as a coach at Elba High School. He has served as the OL Coach from 2018-2022 and was named Offensive Coordinator in 2021 and has served in that position for the last three seasons. During Coach Gilmore’s time as offensive coordinator he has been a part of three Region Championships and two back-to-back undefeated regular seasons. Since being named Offensive Coordinator in 2021 the Elba offense has rushed for over 360yds per game and averaged 41ppg. During the 2023 season the Elba offense amassed 6,531yds (Total), 467yds (rushing), 88TD (48ppg). The Tiger rushing attack broke several Alabama rushing records this past season including the single season rushing record (3,523yds) and the single season rushing TD record (61). The Elba offense rushed for 5,868yds (4th best All-Time, Alabama) and had 6,531yds Total Offense (8th best All-Time). 

    This will be his 17th year coaching and he has served as an OL coach for all 17yrs. Coach Gilmore has also served as a Defensive Coordinator as well as coaching DL, ILB, and RB. Coach Gilmore graduated from G.W. Long High School in 2001, and played for Coach Jimbo Payne. Coach Gilmore graduated from Troy University in 2008 with a degree in Social Science. Coach Gilmore is married to Jenny Gilmore and they live in Enterprise, Al.
